O artista Pedro Vinicio nasceu em Garanhuns, Pernambuco, em 2005, e em 2020, aos 15 anos, passou a veicular na internet imagens e frases de um humor desconcertante que refletiam o momento de crise pandêmica e política no país. A identificação com suas postagens foi tanta que centenas de milhares de pessoas passaram a acompanhá-las e repostá-las.

O principal desafio deste projeto foi levar, pela primeira vez, os posts do seu perfil do Instagram para o formato livro. Criamos um sistema explorando as ilustrações para além do formato quadrado. O projeto envolveu, também, pensar na distribuição dos desenhos de acordo com suas temáticas, suas paletas de cores e os formatos. A personalidade do Pedro Vinicio aparece também na escolha tipográfica e na relação descontraída entre texto e imagem.

The artist Pedro Vinicio was born in Garanhuns, Pernambuco, in 2005, and in 2020, at the age of 15, started sharing on the internet images and phrases with a disconcerting humor that reflected the moment of pandemic and political crisis in the country. The identification with his posts was so strong that hundreds of thousands of people began to follow and repost them.

The main challenge of this book was to bring, for the first time, the posts from his Instagram profile into book format. We created a system exploring illustrations beyond the square format. The project also involved thinking about the distribution of drawings according to their themes, the color palette, and the formats. Pedro Vinicio's personality also appears in the choice of typography and in the relaxed relationship between text and image.
